BTNW has excellent research facilities housed in the Biomedical Research Laboratories of the University of Central Lancashire, the Research Institute in Healthcare Science, University of Wolverhampton and at the main campus at the University of Manchester. These include high-dimensional methodologies such single cell RNA sequencing, Mass Cytometry Imaging as well as infra-red spectroscopy, analytical biochemistry, tissue culture, confocal microscopy and small animal housing.

In addition, the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neuropathology at the Royal Preston Hospital, Manchester Centre for Clinical Neuroscience at Salford Royal Foundation Trust and the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery are fully equipped for the collection, culture and storage of primary brain tumour tissue and hold HTA research licences.
